Installing the New PowerSchool Logs Plugin

  1. Click Here to download the PowerSchool Logs plugin and unzip the zip file.
  2. Log in to PowerSchool as an admin and navigate to Plugin Management Dashboard.
  3. Click Install to add the plugin.
  4. First add pslogs.zip file from the zipped folder.
  5. Click Install.
  6. Find the plugin “PS Logs” from the list and click the enabled checkbox.
  7. A new popup displays asking for permission for the plugin to create certain data tables and columns.
  8. Click Enable.
  9. Again click Install to add the plugin.
  10. Add pslogsapi.zip file from the zipped folder.
  11. Click Install.
  12. Find the plugin “PS Logs API” from the list and click the enabled checkbox.
  13. A new popup displays asking for permission for the plugin to access certain data tables and columns. This is the information PS Logs plugin uses for custom table to store the logs.
  14. Click on the new enabled PS Logs API Plugin.
  15. Click Data Provider Configuration.
  16. Temporarily copy the Client ID and Client Secret
  17. Navigate to System >> System Logs >> PS Logs and paste your Client ID and Client Secret and click save.

To see the logs, click on Application Icon on the blue bar of your powerschool and click on “View Page Log” to view current page log.

System Requirement:
Secure Server SSL should be enabled under “PowerSchool Configuration – External Access” in Global Server Settings
